The Misr Public Library Luxor is a prominent cultural and educational hub in Egypt, designed in the striking architectural shape of an open book to symbolize history and civilization. Established as part of a national network, the library serves as a community center for residents and a cultural attraction for visitors. Situated on the Nile Corniche in Luxor, one block from the River Nile. Public access is generally free. The library houses over 50,000 books covering diverse subjects. The Luxor Heritage Center is located on-site, it features a Culturama (a 180-degree cinema) that provides a visual journey through Egypt's history that every Egypt tourist should watch.
